Donna M. Mitchell, MBA, LCPC, President

Donna Mitchell serves as the principal and president of Destiny Management Services, LLC (Destiny), a full service business solutions provider. Ms. Mitchell founded Destiny in 1996 and has directed the strategic expansion of the organization to encompass consulting services that include fiscal oversight, financial modeling, financial management oversight, due diligence, and business re-engineering. Ms. Mitchell not only provides Destiny with strategic direction and corporate oversight, she practices the tenets of servant leadership in working with a diverse professional staff involved in multi-disciplinary consulting endeavors.

Ms. Mitchell has expertise in the analysis of financial statements, budget forecasting and adjudication, internal control strategies, accounting principles, as well as audit and compliance reviews. In her role as Destiny’s principal, Ms. Mitchell maintains the corporate accounting system and has developed, in conjunction with the executive staff, the requisite infrastructure for the efficient functioning of the firm. Her exemplary knowledge of financial statements, the preparation for pre-post audit award audits, cost and pricing analysis, as well as Chief Financial Officer functionalities allows Ms. Mitchell to work with all levels of senior Federal Government and private sector leaders.

Ms. Mitchell provides an organizationally integrated marketing strategy that has allowed Destiny to expand into new innovative business arenas over its history as a consulting firm. She serves as the firm's key representative and business interpreter to the wider Federal Government, as well as to state and local agencies requiring Destiny's business acumen. Ms. Mitchell is a visionary and continually strives to improve and enhance Destiny's corporate client service.

Barbara Breland, MDiv

Ms. Breland is a professional with more than 10 years of diversified experience in financial analysis. Her experience includes accounting, auditing, compliance, financial analysis, financial reporting, training, sales, marketing and supervision. She provides accounting systems implementation for private sector clients and develops accounting policy and procedures and training. Her past career tenure included positions that included the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, where she prepared monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for credit losses including charge-offs and mortgage insurance payments.  She also prepared monthly payments to investors for credit enhanced portfolios.  Managed day-to-day operations of Accounting Department: prepared and processed vouchers for vendor payments through Deltek (government accounting contractor software); posted cash receipts; processed timesheets and posted labor distributions.  Monitored cash flow and prepared quarterly forecasting to determine funding requirements and debt obligations as a basis for maintaining adequate funds.  Provided assistance with month end closing and contractual billings.

Robyn N. Robertson, MBA

Ms. Robertson is our Chief People Officer and Human Resources Specialist with more than fifteen years of experience in the private sector.  She specializes is problem-solving and thinking on her feet. At Destiny, Ms. Robertson is responsible for maintaining and coordinating the human resources office and activities. These activities include the personnel paperwork administration and coordination; distributing information and enrollment in all employee benefits programs, as well as managing and organizing the company’s staff and staffing needs. She participates in the company recruitment and hiring processes for positions as well as proposal submissions. Ms. Robertson is also skilled at peer and upper-level management mediation, and is the office representative if required. She is a quick study and is always willing roll up both sleeves to get the job done.  Ms. Robertson has great enthusiasm and passion for analytical and deductive critical thinking skills. Her skill set also includes Human Resources Capacity; Communication Proficiency; Personal; Effectiveness/Credibility; Project Management; Personnel Management and Customer/Client Focus. She has expertise in computer technology and provides oversight for all Destiny software productions, the Destiny official website design and content updates, and office publications. 


Additionally. Ms. Robertson’s professional experiences includes database management programming & production directly involved with the music and entertainment business; incorporating national talk show production, radio channel production and promotion as well as development, video promotion and artist booking through a major record label and most recently a management position with a major record label dealing with daily analysis for music trends.

Verna Brogden

Ms. Brogden has twenty years+ experience as an Executive Assistant within the corporate environment supporting executive and senior management. Responsibilities included, but were not limited to, the administration and organization of executive offices of three (3) Fortune 500 companies which included event planning, research, working with high level clients.
